TangleClub July Update

July’s TangleClub freebie has just been added – hop over to the TangleClub Archive for an exclusive-to-TangleClub-members printable Mail-Craft Mini-Zine!  I spent a lot of June playing with my lovely collection of Machin stamps (and making badges from them!) so this mini-zine was the natural progression.  It includes some very easy ideas for making your own, personalised stationery by using & upcycling your own collected postage stamps, plus some Etsy links for further inspiration.

TangleClub June Update

A day late (and a pound or two short), June’s TangleClub freebie is now available!  Just hop over to the TangleClub Archive for your printable pebbly labels!  Use as address labels or whatever else comes to mind…  The border/corner doodle is one from the daily doodle project I mentioned in my previous pebbly post.  If you are not currently a member of the TangleClub but want to share the monthly freebie goodness,  click here for all current membership options, and remember, if you spend $10 or more in the TangleCrafts Etsy Store, you will qualify for TangleClub Basic membership absolutely free!

In other news, I have been updating the review section of  the Enchanted Times blog.  It is still a work in progress with much more to be added. but if you are interested in revisionist fairy tales, you will now find indices installed so that you can browse by author surname or look up relevant stories by character/tale.  If you find your own favourite has been omitted, or not given sufficient weight, please feel free to submit a short review using the guidelines on the website.  Alternative viewpoints are welcome!

TangleClub May Update

Hurrah!  At last!  With sincere apologies for my tardiness I am happy to declare that the latest issue of the Mulberry Digest (Neverendings issue) has been sent out to all TangleClub Deluxe members today.  Updated TangleClub membership cards have been included (& will be rolled out to TangleClub Basic members with June-onward join dates throughout the rest of this month).  Having moved house & finally settled in, I think things are at last getting back to ‘normal’ around here.  Thanks for bearing with me!

Although I neglected to stop by and say so, I did add a new freebie to the TangleClub Archive on Sunday, so please hop over and check it out. 🙂  I’ve been reading a lot lately, so I’m hoping my fellow bibliophiles will appreciate the printable bookmarks I have designed.  They include spaces for you to add your personal recommendations, for those of us who cannot resist evangelising about our favourites.  Include a bookmark when you donate a book to a charity shop, or take a leaf out of the BookCrossing book and leave one in a book surrendered to the wild, for somebody else to discover serendipitously.

Oh, and if you’re still not a member of the TangleClub,  click here for all current membership options, and remember, if you spend $10 or more in the TangleCrafts Etsy Store, you will qualify for TangleClub Basic membership absolutely free!

TangleClub April Update

Oops, running somewhat late this month… :S  Still, I hope TangleClub members enjoy this month’s exclusive freebie, a Gingerbread Man online-only mini-zine.  It is yet another sneak preview from the (still forthcoming) next issue of the Enchanted Times, and includes the Fast-As-You-Can Weight Loss Plan gingerbread recipe, plus a guide to the Gingerbread Man in fiction.   Head on over to the TangleClub Archive and check it out. 🙂

Not a TangleClub member (yet) but don’t want to miss out?  Click here for all current membership options, but remember, if you spend $10 or more in the TangleCrafts Etsy Store, you will qualify for TangleClub Basic membership absolutely free!

Just a note: despite last month’s promise, Mulberry Digest #3 is still in preparation, and I have not yet sent out updated TangleClub membership cards.  Please bear with me – I will catch up with my intentions, eventually…!

TangleClub March Update

Yes, it’s that time again, already!  This month’s TangleClub exclusive freebie is a preview from the next issue of the Enchanted Times, a Hansel & Gretel cross stitch pattern adapted from an illustration by Charles Robinson with colours inspired by Clarice Cliff.   Head on over to the TangleClub Archive and check it out. 🙂

As mentioned in my previous post, I have made some revisions to the TangleClub offers.  The TangleClub 10% discount offer still holds, though, so make sure you claim it using your Etsy coupon code, when placing an order!  Throughout March, my project will be sending out NEW membership cards to ALL TangleClub members (inc. same member # & expiry date as your previous card).  Once you receive the new card it will replace/supercede the old one & you will see how much it simplifies everything!  One of the additions to the TangleClub offer is that you will receive a free promo item every time you place an order of $10 or more.  If you are a TangleClub Deluxe member, you will be able to claim up to 3 free promo items per order (depending on value).  Promo items include anything from mini-zines, mailing labels, TangleStamps, postcards, pin badges – basically small, random, fun stuff from the realms of Tangledom, just for you!  TangleClub Deluxe members please also note that the next issue of the Mulberry Digest is currently in preparation, so you will receive your new membership card plus new issue of MD simultaneously.

Also in my last post, I mentioned a forthcoming new zine.  A ‘first edition’ of this zine, ‘Valley of Dolls’, is now available in the Etsy Store – I just couldn’t wait any longer to share it!  There are some wonderful projects from contributors including Diane Gilleland (Crafty Pod) & Robin O. Mayberry (Alchemy Studios), interviews with Chickenpants creator Claire Chambers (Absolutely Small) & local (to me) illustrator Tracey Meek, plus exclusive artwork, book reviews, even more projects…the list goes on!  For full details & more photos, check out the Etsy listing.  (Please note, if you are a contributor to this zine, contributor copies will be despatched no later than end March – thank you for your patience!)

TangleClub February Update

Well, who’d’ve thunk it?  Just over 2 weeks until moving day and despite having had 2 days off work, have I done any packing?  Of course not!  Following on from my diversionary sketchbook discussion yesterday (thanks all for chiming in!) I have since spent some happy hours preparing a mini arti-philately album for you lovely TangleClubbers to store your faux postage.  (Because I’m sure everything will pack itself if I just leave it long enough…! 😉 )  So head on over to the TangleClub Archive and you can claim your February freebie.

If you’re brave enough, the Etsy Store will still be up & running for the next week or so, and there are some lovely free samples from my Etsy friends up for grabs, if you do.   You’ll notice stock is currently somewhat depleted: this is because I have only left up items which are already made up & ready to be lovingly stuffed into an envelope.  The store will be closed again from mid-month, as I am expecting to be off-line for a while after the move.  However, I really truly honestly have lots of new things to add once everything has settled down a little (not to mention the return of some old favourites).  So continue bearing with me – another month, & it’ll be like all this house-moving nonsense never happened, promise. 🙂

Happy New Year! (& TangleClub January update)

Sorry I’m a little late with my New Year greetings, but I am now finally catching up with myself!  An update on the Friends & Faux project will follow in the next few days plus details of a brand new mail art project to join – but in the meantime, the Etsy Store is up and running again (new items to be added soon) and the January TangleClub freebie is now available to download in the TangleClub Archive – a printable sheet of doodled dandelion mailing labels.  Hope they brighten up your day, as well as your mail! 🙂

I also have some fun extras to offer TangleClub members:
when you place an order in the TangleCrafts Etsy Store by the end of January, I will include with your order a selection of special promo packs from some of my Etsy-selling friends:
Craftgasm (oh-so-cool re-purposed stationery sets and notecards),
La Papierre (customisable letter sets & card sets) and
Kitty Darkness Designs (lots of kawaii fun and the coolest hand-carved stamps).

Here’s how the offer will work:

  • Spend up to $10 (before postage) and you will receive 1 free sample with your order
  • Spend up to $20 (before postage) and you will receive 2 (different) free samples with your order
  • Spend over $20 (before postage) and you will receive 3 (different) free samples with your order

*Hopefully I will have enough promos for everybody, but should I run out, you will receive a surprise promo from TangleCrafts, instead, so you won’t miss out!

TangleClub Deluxe (and weather!) update

Just a quick note to let all TangleClub Deluxe members know that the Solstice edition of the Mulberry Digest was mailed out yesterday. However, please be aware that there may be delays with delivery (btw this applies to recent Etsy orders, also :S) as we had heavy snowfall in my area last week.  I have not received any postal deliveries for over a week due to the weather conditions, and I’m afraid I simply don’t know if collections have also been affected (although I suspect they probably have).  We have not had any fresh snowfall since just before the weekend, though, and now there is ‘just’ sheet ice left on all the footpaths; so hopefully this will now gradually melt and postal services will be able to resume their normal business (and I should receive a bumper crop of letters, soon! 😉 ).

TangleClub – December update!

Happy December, everybody!  I hope you all have a joyful festive season. 😀

This month’s TangleClub freebie is an online version of my Pied Piper mini-zine (a sampler for the forthcoming Enchanted Times #2.5, a Pied Piper special edition).  Click on over to the TangleClub Archive to read online – hope you enjoy! 🙂

Another exclusive offer for existing TangleClub members:
Place an order anytime throughout December and receive a very random surprise mini-zine which I promise will not be available at any other time!  Remember that there is also a new process for claiming your TangleClub discount (it makes life easier, I promise!).  Please read the update on the TangleClub Discount page for full details.

Please be aware, though, that international shipping dates for Christmas are now drawing very close (some have already passed), and I’m afraid I can’t promise delivery before the big day for any orders placed from now on.

For existing members your club-exclusive freebie for October awaits you!  This month, you can print your very own ‘Ideas Grow’ mini-zine notebook, perfect for tucking in your pocket, and can be used to design your own comic rather than take notes, if you prefer!  Click on over to the TangleClub Archive for full details. 🙂

Another exclusive offer for existing TangleClub members:
Place an order anytime throughout October and receive a First Day Cover postcard of the latest TangleStamp!  The design is called ‘Star of Daphne’ and is derived from a hand-carved block print.  The postcard also tells you the story behind the Star of Daphne, an element of Tangledom’s unique folklore.
